ENGLAND ASSOCIATES 5 a side football team

England Associates football team 2nd game of the season continued with a striking performance from the team! EA were down within the first 2 minutes by 2-1. Things continued from bad to worse after we found ourselves to be 4 - 1 down and it wasn't looking good with bad passing and lack of marking.
By half time EA had pulled it back to 4 - 4 thanks to goals from Pierre (2), Dan (1) and Simon (1).
The second half started the same as the first with the opposition playing the nice football which ended up with them taking a 6 - 4 lead with less than 5 minutes to go!
The inspiration for EA Harv with what can only be described as a 'World class save' diving at full stretch down to his right to push the ball around the post. The game stopped for at least a minute as every player stood in amazement at what they'd just seen. This gave EA a rethink and from that moment things changes and we started to pass the ball quickly and play well. Goals from Simon and Pierre left the game poised at 6 - 6 with less than a minute to go... Match report by Matt Smith. Then the ball broke for Mike who raced up the right wing to drive in a low cross only for Dan to side foot the ball into the bottom corner, producing a final score of 7 - 6 to EA. Man of the match was awarded to Harv for his amazing save. |
