An exciting opportunity exists in Doha, Qatar for a Engineering Manager with substantial man management experience. Working for a major International contractor with growing strength in the Middle East on both residential and office developments, the role provides great potential for the right person. Your duties will include
You will have responsibility for the day to day management of various on- site functions on a project, liaising with the contractor's management staff as necessary to effectively control various works packages.
Some of your typical duties may include
- Preparation of project management structure and plan, cost plan.
- Monitoring the performance of the design team and consultants.
- Tender evaluation and recommendation preparation when appointing contractors.
- Overall management of the M&E team.
- Assembling contract documentation.
- Preparing valuations and monitoring the budget.
- Organising handover/occupation procedures.
Qualifications and experience required
Substantial man management experience is required for this role coupled with a solid technical knowledge. Experience of working overseas would be desirable, though not essential.
A degree level formal qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable, as will be membership of an internationally recognised professional institute.
