I am working with a leading main contractor within the social housing, education, public buildings and healthcare sectors. They are looking for a Senior Surveyor in and around the Central London area to join an existing team of passionate and dedicated employees. The ideal person will be really hands on and have new build and refurbishment experience.    
   
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required  materials
  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
  • Feasibility studies of client requests
  • Analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors
  • Allocating upcoming work to contractors
  • Site visits, assessments and projections for future work
 
 Personal specification:
  • Ideally someone who is really hands on
  • New build and refurbishment experience
  • Package/project surveyor knowledge and experience
  • Ideally degree level or HNC/HND
  • An individual who wants to grow with a business

Role & Responsibilities  
Due to recent growth and new projects coming on board, we are now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our established team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing part of the property and infurstructure team where you will be based in London, Gresham Street, working with clients in the Commercial Developer, Residential, Corporate Occupier and Education sectors
  • Production of feasibility studies and estimates from minimal design information, through to detailed cost plans.
  • Preparation of tender documentation.
  • Work according to the agreed technical approach and to the required technical quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform all RICS core competencies and RICS QS Competencies.
  • Participate in APC training including Supervisor role and guidance for candidates, where appropriate.
As the successful Senior quantity surveyor you are likely to have:  
Esential expirance.
  • Extensive professional experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Evidence of leading projects in a client facing role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the property sector.
  • Experience working on medium large scale property projects within the Commercial Developer, Residential, Corporate Occupier and Education sectors is desirable.

Building Control Surveyor

Role & Responsibilities  
Prime responsibility for taking decisions on all aspects of Dangerous Structures and responding within 2-hour target time. When necessary to work in accordance with the emergency plan and liaise with other departments of the Council and outside bodies to achieve removal of the dangerous structure. Complete call out reports, issue and serve any required notices.
  • Ensure that all works controlled under the Building Regulations and associated legislation are undertaken in such a manner as to comply with substantive provisions.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to all users of the service and recommend innovative and practical solutions to complex building regulation queries.
  • Ensure unauthorised work is brought into compliance and lead on any necessary enforcement action under the Building Regulations and Building Act.
As the successful Building control surveyor you are likely to have:  
Essential experience.
  • Previous successful experience in a building control section of a local authority or similar organisation processing complex building regulation applications; enforcing and remedying breaches.
  • Good knowledge of current building control legislation, guidance and issues relevant to the post specifically and the service generally.
  • Understanding of LABC initiatives such as the Partner Authority and Type Approval schemes.
  • Practical understanding of the implications of Health and Safety legislation particularly in relation to personal safety and the safety of others
Desirable experience.
  • Relevant building degree.
  • Full driving licence and personal transport.
  • Able to make site inspections including ability to climb ladders.
