Our client a regional construction company are currently seeking a high calibre Business Development Manager to report to the Operations Manager.  
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the operational areas of the business, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing business plans and strategies to expand the customer base within the construction market and maximise income for the company, against agreed and required sales targets. The role is critical in promoting a professional approach and providing customers with a positive experience and the best possible customer service.
 
Essential skills:      
     
- Thorough understanding of the construction industry and / or housing sector experience.  
- Proven and demonstrable track record of building a solid pipeline which has delivered substantial growth for previous   and current organisations.  
- Deep understanding of pipeline and account management.  
- Capable of producing own submissions and demonstrating versatility in a growing company Experience working with bid teams  and ability to prioritise and convert opportunities.  
- Preferably degree qualified in a related subject.

Provider Works Site Supervisor

Site Supervisor needed 8th of January for 3 months.
 
My client, a respected, well known highway contractor requires a Site Supervisor for 3 weeks to work nights.

Job Description;
 
-To assist the Delivery Manager in the role of Supervisor under an ECC style contract  
 
-To assist the Delivery Manager to carry out the role of Principal Contractor under CDM and manage the works of others in the role of Principle Contractor  
 
-Ensure that appropriate site inductions are carried out and recorded  
 
-Carry out regular start of shift and end of shift Site Briefings  
 
-Monitor Contractors Method Statements and risk assessments and ensure that they are adhered to.  
 
-Carry out inspection, testing and sampling to verify compliance with the Contract, promote the introduction of innovation during the construction phase  
 
-Liaise with the Area Managers and Roadspace Manager regarding co-ordination and integration of Works  
 
-Liaise with Local Authorities, Statutory Authorities, Emergency Services and other third parties where necessary to ensure successful completion of the Works  
 
-Assist with the management and administration of the construction works in accordance with the Contract  
 
-Provide assistance with monitoring progress of site works  
 
-Assist with the Production of the quality plan and adhere to the procedures  
 
- Identify and prepare new procedures as necessary  
 
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Construction Phase Plans  
 
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial and progress reports  
 
- Assist with the recording and valuation of the work  
 
- Assist the Delivery Manager with the implementation of the duties of the Principal Contractor (Provider Works)  
 
-Assist with the planning and programming of the works in close liaison with all Contractors  
 
-Assist with the implementation, development and maintenance of the Site Waste Management Plan and Construction Environmental Management Plan  
 
-To assist with the production of the Health and Safety File  
 
Skills and Experience needed;
 
Extensive experience of working within the highways industry  
 
General knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery on high speed roads.  
An appreciation of asset management.  
Effective verbal and written communication skills  
Computer literate, Word / Excel  
Good interpersonal skills  
Valid current CSCS (minimum Supervisor level) and SSSTS Certification

P3M is at the heart of the new Army Operating Model to enable the effective management of the Army Change Portfolio. This currently comprises c40 programmes with a total 10 year investment of c16Bn.  
 
 
 
Role & Responsibilities  
We are looking for experienced and skilled individuals to provide proactive and targeted P3M subject matter expertise, advice and support as required to the Portfolio, Sub-Portfolio and Programme offices within the Army Change Portfolio.  
 
Duties will include leading on and providing support to areas such as:  •
Programme/PMO delivery management  •
Benefits management  •
Risk, Issues & Opportunities management  •
Assumptions & Dependencies management  •
Planning, Scheduling & Resourcing  •
Leadership, Comms & Stakeholder Engagement  •
Governance  •
Assurance & Compliance  •
Change Control and Configuration Management  •
MI reporting  
 
The individual must have a background in complex project/programme delivery with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority. They should be able to use their own initiative, thinking creatively to resolve problems and conflicts but also work to established processes. Comfortable in a busy and changing environment, they must be sufficiently skilled and flexible to support a range of different P3M subject areas.  
 
Key tasks & deliverables
Key tasks and deliverables will be based on the subject areas in the person specification including the creation of key programme documentation.  
 
Additional Requirements
The applicant must hold at least one formal project or programme management qualification, i.e. MSP, MoP, PRINCE2, APM, Managing Benefits, MoR; or be a member of a professional body in these areas.
