The post holder must be able to work under his/her own initiative with minimal supervision, have a flexible approach to the day tasks required of a project manager and cope with a challenging workload. Good communication skills in dealing with customers, contractors etc and a sound knowledge of DE&S procurement processes. DV clearance is essential and must be a sole UK National

Combat systems has recently merged with Naval authority Group and the HQ, and needs Financial support to help rationalise the accounting across the 3 areas, whilst supporting summer costings and QRPC activities. The role is a key part of the Bespoke Trading Entity (BTE) Accounting for Fleet, and will deliver a range of Operating costs inputs.

Within APS, the Mode 5 Identification Firend or Foe (IFF) Project Team is the focal point for procuring and integrating Mode 5 Identification Equipment and provides advice and guidance to platform project teams as they make acquisition decisions concerning identification equipment. The Mode 5 IFF project will provide a secure and inter-operable IFF system to multiple platform types. This is a complex project covering a large number of diverse platform types in all three branches of the Armed Forces. These include ships, submarines, rotary wing, transport types and ground based air defence systems and radars. The contract was awarded in May 17 to the Single Prime Contractor. The post holder shall support the Mode 5 Project Manager in the management of the procurement, integration, installation and support of IFF equipment across all three domains (Air Land and Maritime). The post holder will be responsible for the following activities: $2022; Schedule control to include planning, monitoring and control of the Mode 5 project schedule. $2022; To analyse and assess the Contractor production and embodiment schedule against the contract award baseline. $2022; Monitor and report to the Project Manager the performance of the project team schedule and critical path. $2022; Support the Project Manager on schedule matters at internal meetings. $2022; Engagement with Defence Lines Of Development to ensure project dependencies, enablers, constraints and risks are properly identified and managed in the schedule. $2022; Fully conversant with Microsoft Enterprise Project (EPM2010) and Primavera P6.
