MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULTS AREAS:
Carry out Minor New Works and Maintain Bulk Fuel Installations (BFI’s) on MOD establishments
(Filter water separators, Surge alleviators, Fuel Monitors, Dispense Pumps, Pressure Relief Valves & Precoat filters etc).
Carry out Minor New Works and Maintain Motor Transport Filling Stations & Kerbside pumps.
Carry out Minor New Works and Maintain motorised - Rotork Valves & air activated - Clay valves.
Supervise and carry out mechanical works satisfactorily to the current MOD safety rules & procedures &
Safe systems of work in hazardous areas in accordance with Defence Works Functional Standards - SRP 03.
Wearing & use of BA equipment - (Breathing apparatus) where required.
Be familiar with the requirements of JSP 375 relating to the requirements of Authorised Persons Petroleum
and confined spaces.
Travel to remote Helicopter Refuelling Sites HRS sites Supervise and carryout works as & when required.
Take on the role of “Skilled Person” Petroleum & willing to under go a period of familiarisation with continuous
improvement & monitoring by the Co-Coordinating AP PET.
Carry out work in a timely and productive manner.
Ensure materials for works are fully checked for suitability and are correctly booked in and out of stores
(reporting any defects or damage).
Respond to emergency call outs as and when required.
Maintain meticulous records, timesheets and appropriate job sheets for all tasks completed.
Carry out any other duties as directed by your line manager, or Management team.
