Key skills and experience
You will be able to evidence effective leadership of an in-house field operations team that has a successful track record of delivering results within set SLAs
Can evidence effective leadership and performance management of direct team and 3rd party contractor partners
Previous experience of setting up and managing warehouse and logistics operations
You will have a good understanding of fibre networks and the methods and best practices of fibre fault repairs and installations - fibre jointing and splicing, blown fibre, fibre testing (OTDR)
Experience with and / or knowledge of PIA standards desirable
Will be able to provide examples where you have created and / or implemented new systems as well as new processes and procedures that have led to improvements and efficiencies
Will have previously created effective KPI's and reporting metrics to establish and monitor peak performance

The Role
SHEQ Advisor day to day responsibilities:
Oversee and manage of Safety Health, Environmental and Quality across one or more construction sites in the UK
Preparing risk assessments and method statements for site operations
Client liaison and attending regular SHEQ meetings
Carrying out regular site inspections and reviewing practices to determine compliance with RAMS
The provision of construction phase fire assessments
Construction phase SHEQ audits
Promoting behavioral based SHEQ practices to the workforce
Ensuring overall compliance with the company's OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001
Reporting issues and developing recommendations on a timely basis
Preparation of RAMS, Tool Box Talks and Inductions
 
Background and Qualifications  
NEBOSH general certificate
4-6 years' experience in the construction industry - Telecommunications
Full knowledge of CDM Regulations

THE ROLE
Exciting new opportunities for up to 5 Supervisors to join the growing Civils and Fibre teams.
Your responsibilities will be to provide full administrative support to various departments on an ad hoc basis as the business dictates.
As the Supervisor you will be responsible for the control of their designated Project or assigned tasks as well as ensuring that all documentation, services and processes are completing in line with the needs of the business.
Your role will also include:
Ensuring compliance with all QEHS legislation and internal policies and procedures relating safe and efficient delivery of the project
Overall supervision of a number of sub-contracting site crews carrying out civils and cabling works on underground Telecommunication networks
Supervising PON build in line with Opeanreach build requirements.

Complete 700 & stock checks when required
Responsible for site inspections at the start and the end of the day
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, quality failures and service deterioration trends
Supervision of day to day project delivery within geographical area, including delivery to client requirements, safety, quality, street works, supplier performance and improvement

THE ROLE
This opening provides an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Network Planning Manager. We require you to provide instruction and leadership to the planning team and to continually identify and implement improvements across the planning process operation to ensure that business objectives and outcomes.
You will be required to work collaboratively across all departments and lead the responsibility for the design of the FTTP access network infrastructure up to and including the customers premises.
 
The most suitable candidates for this will have previously worked in a fibre network planning position for the likes of BT, Virgin Media, Cityfibre, Hyperoptic, for example.
 
Key Responsibilities are:
Design the fibre-optic infrastructure and civils for Fibre To The Home networks. Designs to comply with overall planning guidelines to deliver cost effective and fit for purpose designs.
Own, maintain and update Detailed Network Design Guidelines for the FTTP access network
Apply the design principles to develop a high-level / fundamental FTTP network plan for a given area
Prioritise network planning rollout programme based on opportunity and deployment complexity
Current and proficient user of GiS systems/tools for FTTP design
To look for ways to utilise as much existing infrastructure in the design as is possible and practical
To review implemented designs and re-iterate the planning guidelines to improve the overall quality and cost effectiveness of the network design
Flexibility to work across multiple aspects of the E2E planning process
Knowledge of PIA product and experience of planning using PIA will be an advantage
Ensure KPI's are hit based on; Deadlines for project areas, fibre pack completion rates, quality and technical standards being met
Work with key stakeholders and other teams to give the best possible outcomes for your team Manager, prioritise and delegate the teams work
Undertake and supervise As-Built process including timely submissions
Supervise and carry out field surveys.
Implement quality KPI reports and up to date Board & SLT feedback at the right time
Deliver quality planning projects to the agreed deadline/timescale

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities Include:
Subcontract management: to monitor and verify subcontract expenditure
including the administration of subcontract payments, implementation of
subcontract change control including issuing Subcontractor Instructions and
evaluation of subcontract compensation events
Create accurate forecasts and budgets
Produce accurate reports to client and build client relationships
Ensure timescales and contract commercial deliverables are met
Ensure both processes and compliance are effectively followed and delivered
Minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still
achieving the required standards and quality
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
Ensure all commercial and administrative systems and procedures are
utilised

Maximise cash flow
Assess and review contractual and commercial risks
