I am Looking for a Painting Supervisor for a permanent position based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.  
 
As a permanent employee, you must be very experienced within the painting field and be willing to look after teams on site as well as manage and assign duties.  
 
Alongside this you must be helpful and willing to get on the tools if needed. You will be first contact on site for the painting team and must look smart and presentable.

You will be looking after contractors proposals for all jobs, and taking the project from inception to full delivery. The client ideally would like you to have worked for a tier 1 contractor as the processes are very similar.  
   
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements
  • Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales.
  • Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction
  • Projects range from £1m - £30m.
 
 Personal specification:

I am working with a main contractor in the Hampshire area who are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to work on a £30m project in the Dorset area. The individual will be hands on, looking after internal packages on a large scheme.  
 
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client's specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
  • Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public
  • Coordinating and supervising construction workers
  • Selecting tools and materials
  • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Maintaining quality control procedures
  • Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up
  • Assessing and minimising risk
  • Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and processes within our manufacturing facilities and local construction activities.  Reporting to the Health & Safety Director key responsibilities will include;
 
  • Carrying out factory and site inspections to ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and internal management systems.
  • Chairing health and safety meetings.
  • Updating and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Compiling training matrix and training needs analysis.
  • Carryout accident investigations and be instrumental in driving near miss reporting.
  • Supporting managers to carryout toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Complete pre-tender qualification questionnaires. 
 
Criteria
  • A minimum of 2-3 years Health, Safety & Environmental experience within the construction industry
  • Extensive knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation applicable to the construction industry and manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent is essential
  • Environmental qualification is preferable
  • Graduate IOSH membership
  • Internal Auditor training for Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001)
  • Strong communication skills and IT literate on Microsoft office packages

Working as part of a team, we are seeking to appoint a number of Precast Site Installers/Fixers for the safe installation of concrete flooring and stairs in Ireland.  The role will involve working on both residential and commercial builds, using airbags and netting fall arrest systems, with both hired in cranes and our own off loaders.
 
Criteria
Should have a minimum of 12 months precast installation experience on construction sites and hold a valid CSCS/CSR Card.
Driving license, NVQ Level 2 installer card, slinger/banksman, abrasive wheels, MEWP, first aid, SSSTS certs would all be advantageous.
The ability to work on site as a team is essential as well as the ability to work flexible hours as required.
