I am working with a main contractor in the Central London area who are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to join an existing team of passionate and dedicated employees. The individual will have super prime experience working for high end residential contractors on projects up to £15m.
 
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Advise on a procurement strategy
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
  • Allocate work to subcontractors
  • Provide advice on contractual claims
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • Value completed work and arrange payments
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
 
 Personal specification:
  • Previous industry experience
  • Experience working on super structures
  • Experience working on high end residential projects
  • Experience working on super prime projects
  • Flexible with working hours and have the ability to travel within the local area on a regional and national basis when required

The individual will preferably have experience with fit outs, JCT and bespoke contracts and preferable some commercial experience.
 
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Managing Logistics costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures, such as residential developments, sports stadiums, roads and bridges, schools, hospitals, offices and factories etc. and your projects will be assigned to you by your line manager
  • Undertaking costs analysis for construction and logistics work
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control  
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks  
  • Assisting with preparing and reviewing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to subcontractors with approval of your line manager

Role & Responsibilities      
     
Working across NCTPHQ and NCTPOC, the Change Support Manager (CSM) will be responsible for the day to day coordination, management and implementation of change affecting these areas. This will include:

1. Implementation of national CT change projects. Specifically, the Change Manager will be responsible for facilitating the assessment of the impact of change on HQ and OC staff, managing local readiness plans and ensuring staff are engaged and understand the change affecting them.

2. Delivery of changes within the national CT Change Portfolio categorised as ‘Business Delivered’, i.e. centrally defined but delivered by resources within operational CT commands. Specifically, the Change Manager will be responsible for ensuring the development and maintenance of specific project management products; project plans; risk and issue registers - tracking and monitoring updates; managing escalations and managing effective change control. 

3. Implementation of MPS Transformation Programmes that impact on NCTPHQ and OC. Specifically the Change Manager will provide support to the Supt Command Support and Development in his/her role as ‘Local Change Manager’.

The NCTPHQ/OC Change Manager role will have a dotted line to the professional lead for change management in CT, the NCTPHQ Business Change Manager. He/she will therefore be able to seek professional guidance from change management specialists within the NCTPHQ Portfolio Management Office, and must ensure adherence to any programme / project management processes and standards required by the Portfolio Management Office.
 
 
Skills:
 
  • Ability to produce high quality project documentation
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written including stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to successfully negotiate to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.
  • Good facilitation skills.

  • Experience of managing change - including project planning, risk management and preparing progress reports.
  • Previous experience of working in (local) government, a security agency or policing is essential.
