Sales Operations Manager

£ 35000.00 - £ 40000.00 per annum
Sales Operations Manager  
Department: Internal Sales  
Location: Luton  
Reports to: Sales Director  
Primary Responsibilities:
  • To collect and evaluate sales information and use that information to maximize sales productivity
  • Set and adhere to strategy for Internal Sales and Customer Services departments to ensure future goals are met
  • To manage the activities of the Internal Sales and Customer Services team by liaising with departmental supervisors
  • To work with departmental supervisors on matters including: Identification of any gaps in resource, Improvement procedures, Team training requirements, KPI's, Backorders, Team absence
  • Working alongside other departments including; Purchasing, Warehouse, Business Systems, Technical, Marketing and External Sales to implement and evaluate new procedures
  • Working alongside other superiors, ensure smooth ongoing communication between departments to maintain an environment of continuous improvement
  • To present relevant updates in monthly management team meetings with regards to procedures and KPI's.
  • To provide support to Sales Directors and ASMs
  • To ensure appropriate measures are in place to ensure team remain motivated
  • To ensure consumable costs are kept to a minimum by monitoring usage and negotiating with suppliers
  • To continually communicate and track performance against sales forecast to Internal Sales team to ensure strategy is continuously evaluated and goals are being met
What we are looking for:
  • Previous experience in a sales operations manager role would be highly advantageous
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Desire and willingness to take ownership of ones' work and to prioritize work load
  • Capability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Customer focused with the ability to build strong rapport
