CBR Division is the UK's centre of excellence for CBR and Medical Sciences, S&T within Government. To deliver high-impact S&T, we generate a wide range of knowledge and content such as, but not limited to: models databases, vignettes, modelling outputs, data sheets, reports and presentations. 

This resource is critical in terms of business resilience. If we do not tackle our knowledge management issues we run the risk of decreased efficiency and increased duplication or inconsistencies in the provision of critical advice. 

We are seeking a Senior Knowledge and Data Systems Design and Delivery Coordinator to assess how we manage and control our CBR knowledge, align knowledge management across CBR Division with the corporate vision and work with our Knowledge Partner to design, develop and deliver a sustainable, searchable, efficient, fit for purpose Knowledge and Content Management capability which increases efficiency and decreases the chance of duplication or inconsistencies in the provision of advice, while upholding agreed-upon security standards, safeguarding security and confidentiality standards and supports exploitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for training up members of Dstl staff to be fully conversant with the new Knowledge and Content Management capability.
Minimum Requirement: 
Must be extensive experience 
A degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) subject or equivalent experience.
The experience and desire to understand and address colleague’s information and knowledge management and exploitation needs whilst meeting the needs and requirements of all stakeholders • The ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of people at all levels of seniority and experience, describing the measurable impact of the work; • The skills to organise and prioritise their workload in order to deliver work to deadlines; • Strong IT skills, including substantial experience of using Microsoft Office packages; • Practitioner experience of SQL or no-SQl database technologies; • Practitioner experience of data wrangling, data structures and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) of heterogenous data sources; • Statistical experience to support completeness, certainty and confidence of information that is persisted for future assessments.

Senior Engineer Duties:  
Manage sectional setting out requirements on site.
Manage the sectional service plans/ Engineering drawings. Issue permits accordingly.
Manage the as built requirements of your section and contribute to the completion of the site health and safety file.
Liaise with site management to complete quality take offs.
Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification.
Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a good background in Construction schemes with experience at Setting out, Section Engineer and Senior Engineer level, working with the NEC form of contract. Must also be computer literate including the use of CAD.

Our client is looking for an Estimating Quantity Surveyor, who will be tasked with pre-contract estimating and post contract commercial control of their Rail and Civil Engineering projects.
With offices in Hampshire and Surrey,  this role offers a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to progress into a full time estimating role, or into a senior commercial position, depending on their preference.
You will have gained main contractor experience within the Civil Engineering Industry - ideally in both rail and civil environments.  You will be fully conversant in pre-qualifications, technical/commercial tender submissions/estimates, and be able to provide quantity surveying assistance for both rail and civil projects without the need for direct management or supervision.
You will also have good technical knowledge of ICC/NEC/NR forms of contracts, and a good working knowledge of construction law.
Salary = £50k - £75k pa (dependant on experience)
