This resource would be expected to work as part of the Airborne Forces Equipment engineering team of C17CSAE DT, as directed by the AFE Delivery Manager.
The AFE engineering team is based at RAF Brize Norton. The resource will be based primarily at RAF BZN but will need to attend meetings at MOD Abbey Wood and potentially at contractor locations in UK as required by the task.
Outputs that the Resource(s) may contribute to include:
Day to day engineering management of:
DASORs, including investigation of cause/effect and producing recommendations/reports
Occurrence Reports (e.g. DASOR, MALDROP);
Modifications (Design Organisation modifications, Service Modifications); Special Instructions (Technical); F760; F765 (Unsatisfactory Feature Reports) and Air Publication amendments; F791 (Quality Occurrence Reports); Technical Queries.
Digital Air Publications (including review)
Liaison with User units and CAMO
Liaison with Suppliers organisation, including attendance at Local Technical Committees as required (and ad hoc meetings if required)
Support to the DT Safety team
Support to future procurement of replacement oxygen system (including ground station, aircraft and parachutist mounted equipment) and a replacement Military Lightweight Parachute (and a number of Cat D procurements) - through development of SRD and SSDT.
