Cyber DevOps Specialist - Cardiff  
Applied experience of scripting skills to find innovative approaches to problems.    
Knowledge of continuous delivery environments and technologies such as Ansible/Puppet.    
Scripting in a language such as Python, Perl or Bash.    
Strong Linux Skills, Oracle Enterprise Linux, or Redhat variant    
Windows Servers Skills    
VMware products Skills    
Network Skills, Cisco, Fortinet, ASA, VMware Networking or similar    
Strong understanding of routing, switches and network security    
Strong Background in all things Security a plus    
Application support, experience in one or more of the following technologies:    
 
  • AD/LDAP/TACAS
  • Spacewalk, Satellite
  • ELK (Elasticsearch, Kibana, and their plugins)
  • Git, Gitlab, or other version control technology
  • Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket)
  • Opsview/Nagios monitoring tools
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Docker/Linux Containers
  • SMTP/Postfix
  • DNS/Bind
  • Mandatory - 5 years within one of the following:
        Linux Systems Administration at scale    
        Network Administration, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.    
        Hands-on experience at least in one scripting language  
 
Diagnose and resolve complex incidents where solution may not be clear or procedure may not exist or identified.    
Deliver technical support for maintaining and improving the integrity of a given set of processes and systems.    
Scope, design and deliver services, platform(s) and applications while considering materials, budgets and other concerns.    
Create and monitor alerts related to network/platform/device components and provide procedures to resolve incidents.    
Manage production and non-production systems and recommend ways to optimize performance, cost reductions, or unneeded redundancies.    
Deliver security vulnerability and patch management platform wide.    
Work with the Application Support Group (ASG) team on system level issues.    
Provide training and mentoring where necessary to new members of the team.    
Where appropriate, become fluent in new leading edge technologies and apply that to internal projects
