Digital Project Manager

£ 500.00 - £ 500.00 per day
As an IT Project Manager, you will lead on various projects that contribute to the key goals and ambitions of the Crime Programme outlined above. 

• Taking responsibility for Projects within IT and software development niches; 
• Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders across HMCTS and wider MOJ family; 
• Utilise Agile project delivery when possible; 
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents; 
• Effectively communicate project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion; 
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals; 
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and relevant stakeholders; 
• Identify and manage project dependencies and ‘Critical Path’; 
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools; 
• Develop and communicate sound project plans that suitably identifies resources and project outputs; 
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations; 
• Take ownership and responsibility in terms of time, quality and cost for all assigned projects; 
• Execute project lifecycle in accordance with in-house processes; 
• Take leadership in ensuring projects are correctly scoped with clearly defined outcomes and sponsorship; 
• Take an active role in supporting procurement of third party services and ensuring commercials are adequate for delivering; 
• Ensure all project commitments are tied to firm commercial agreements and the associated project dependencies are clearly understood by the relevant parties; 
• Provide effective risk management.
Essential Criteria

• Qualifications within Project Management e.g. BA Project Management, Prince 2, Agile etc.;
• A successful track record of leading large-scale IT and software development projects;
• Experience of IT project management in a public-sector environment;
• Experience of producing business cases, preferably with a working knowledge of Government business case approvals processes;
• Experience of managing IT suppliers in their delivery of IT services and solutions;
• Proven ability to drive through significant change whilst maintaining strong client and internal relationships;
• Proven ability to perform consistently to tight timescales with a high degree of visibility;
• 5+ years’ direct work experience in a project management capacity;
• Strong familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project
