We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Analyst to provide technical support to internal customers, working on an upgrade project, migrating customers from a WIN 7 to WIN 10 environment. You will have a very good all round technical knowledge, with experience and knowledge supporting Windows users in both a Project and BAU basis and building and managing desktop images using industry standard tools (e.g. SCCM/Norton Ghost) You will be working collaboratively with other Analysts and a very well established Service Desk to assist with upgrading customers, both remotely and on site, as well as providing a point of contact for the customers during and directly after the upgrade process, to assist with any technical issues. You will have good experience of remote control software but also be willing to travel to different sites in the UK to carry out upgrades and technical troubleshooting. You must have excellent technical skills, communication skills, be able to communicate effectively with all types of customers at all levels and have a driving license.
Migrating all the systems in the UK offices and shops form Windows 7 to Windows 10. Some of it will be that they are building machines and taking them to the original offices. Connecting remotely from here and installing. Building machines here and sending them out. Both candidates will be doing the same thing.
At least 3-5 years experience working in a Service Desk/Help Desk Support area, preferably within an ITIL environment
Experience of working in a Project environment, preferably within a Windows upgrade project
Extensive experience providing day to day BAU support in a Windows (7/10) environment
Substantial knowledge of at least a few of the following technologies in a support environment (with good working knowledge of at least a few of the others):
WIN 7/ WIN 10 devices and OS in a BAU/Project environment / Service Now Helpdesk System, TeamViewer v11/12, SCCM, IBM Notes, Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Operating system deployment and patching,
Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas in a support environment:
Automated software distribution tools / Building and managing of desktop images using industry standard tools (e.g. SCCM/Norton Ghost)
Good Experience of the following:
Service Level Management and Reporting
Incident and Problem Management
Change Control and Release Management
Excellent Telephone skills Ability to work under pressure
Candidate 1: Get the ball rolling, plan and liaise with the necessary departments – Possible Extension.
Candidate 2: Will join, learn and carryon and finish the project.
