You would face a breadth of challenges across business and technology domains allowing you to craft their future development infrastructure. We are therefore looking for a Developer with a passion for cloud development (AWS). We would also welcome Developers from a number of backgrounds, including front-end, back-end, full-stack, application, mobile or enterprise skillsets.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and customers to deliver and present new capabilities
  • Working with and applying Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools
  • Solution and component design, development and testing
  • Technical consultancy, business development and contributing to bids
  • You will need the ability to develop software, with the business making a point of choosing the best-fit languages and frameworks for each project.
  • AWS development experience.
  • Exposure to AWS S3, AWS Lambda, AWS MQ/SQS, AWS Fargate, AWS CodeDeploy and AWS IAM.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile Scrum Team.
  • Virtualisation knowledge.

Role & Responsibilities
  • The individual will lead the Driving and Movements (White Fleet Optimisation) project which represents a significant Efficiency Savings initiative within D Support's portfolio. It addresses demand and supply optimisation, efficiency of delivery, introduction of an Electric Vehicle capability and seeks to improve the effectiveness of service to the Army's user community. The role requires the incumbent to work with authority and initiative to drive this project forward, lead a small team and deliver programmed efficiency savings. The individual needs strong planning and organisational skills, people and communications skills and analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence senior decision-making. The responsibilities include the following: a. Lead the project team and provide routine decision-making and direction for the project. b. Contribute to blueprint design and take over leadership from the existing (short-term) team. c. Delivery of plans and schedules to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included. Ongoing management of those plans to achieve the delivery goals. d. Work with key stakeholders to deliver all aspects of the project to time, cost and quality. e. Introduce a robust P3M governance framework; identify and mitigate risks to project delivery. f. Project Manage all aspects of specific work packages. Additional Requirements Good understanding of project management is essential. MSP, APMP or PRINCE2 practitioner is the minimum level of training expected. Familiarity with microsoft project and MOR desirable.

You would be joining a successful and expanding operations and security operations environment that support networks and systems across a range of defence and sensitive government clients. Your primary functions will be providing both a 3rd line of support as well as strategic oversight to improve technology and process in current operations.
