Role

You will be responsible for carrying out surveys and resolving difficulties and complaints regarding the works by liaising with all parties involved. POSITION    
Due to an influx of work my client are looking for a Surveyor to oversee price and financially control multiple redecoration schemes.    
RESPONSIBILITIES    
Reporting to a Commercial Manager you will be responsible for delivering quick, effective, accurate and competitive prices on large scale painting and decorating contracts. You will also be well versed in that strong commercial management of busy schemes which are a mix of direct staff and sub contractors.    
YOU    
It is essential that you have worked on volume painting contract previously, preferably in the social housing or accommodation markets. My client expects their Surveyors to be able to produce quality tenders in an efficient and competitive manner but also be able to visit schemes sand practically measure up painting projects. My clients are painting experts and will go explore your painting knowledge at interview stage. You will be IT literate. Quantity Surveyor (Capital) - Location: Maidstone - £46,000      
       
This is the ideal role for a Quantity Surveyor with proven experience of working in the Refurbishment or Capital works sectors and is looking to join a leading company that provides a safe, secure and friendly working environment for all its employees.

As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for the financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to ensure effective cash-flow management and meet profit and ROCE budgets. You will also prepare tenders by measuring and calculating rates for estimating and ensure all work issued have labour targets to return agreed performance.  Additionally, you will manage the contract accounting and ensure prompt payment and control cost information. You will also develop and maintain relationships with the workforce, customers, subcontractors and suppliers.      

Your other duties will include

- Procuring & Managing subcontractors in line with contract budgets
- Ensuring productivity targets are agreed and issued before contract start
- Managing the billing process to minimise capital usage

To be considered for this role, you must have
