We are looking for two contract Fibre Engineers to support the implementation of our new expansion projects, mainly using the Openreach OH/UG infrastructure under PIA, as well as to maintain new and existing networks in and around Devon

Responsibilities:
Fusion splicing
OTDR use
Installation of Customer Termination Point
Be able to build & deliver successful first-time fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards
Testing & commissioning of Fibre Network Infrastructures
Troubleshooting individual and wider network issues
Liaising with both colleagues and customers; keeping in regular contact with office staff
Being punctual and conducting all work to high standards of neatness
OOH on call work may be required on a rota basis
Ensure the appropriate H&S is adhered to
Correct use of safety equipment and procedures
You will have/be:
Knowledge of or currently be working to PIA standards
In-depth understanding and experience of IT networking (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Switches,Routers, PoE, Fibre optic networks, Client/server)
Experience and certifications in the installation and maintenance of fibre optic networks, Fusion Splicing, OTDR testing, particularly PIA qualifications.

Due to expansion they are seeking an MRO Executive, you will be required to select and process aircraft component repair services from approved suppliers worldwide. You will also be supporting both internal and external customers with exceptional service levels ensuring inventory quality, on time delivery and cost control.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Required to purchase component repair services and Third Party Customer owned inventory.
  • Repair administration of aircraft components to aviation industry quality standards and airworthiness regulations
  • You will negotiate with suppliers and customers to obtain best price, terms, warranty and service levels in accordance with departmental key performance indicators 
  • Issue repair orders on approved suppliers with company processes and procedure
  • Evaluation of workshop reports and repair quotations in accordance with company processes, procedures and within existing authority levels, including negotiation of repair costs relating workshop reports
  • Identify component modification and condition status  ensuring compliance with required standard
  • Expedite open orders to effectively achieve required delivery and service levels
  • Development of business opportunities with suppliers and customers
